Book Reading.....
Apr. 17th, 2014 09:56 amI finished up No. 12 yesterday morning. It was a quick little read.
I read Welcome to Dead House by R. L. Stine. It's one of the Goosebumps books.
A family inherits a big old house from an unknown uncle. The daughter is seeing people in the house that aren't there. The dog is not at all happy. The children meet some local kids. One day the dog runs away. The kids go out looking for him and end up in the graveyard. They stumble across several grave stones that mysteriously have the names of all the kids they have been playing with.
In the last 10 pages or so it's revealed that the whole town had mysteriously died and now every year they "invite" a family to come live in this one house, and they are eventually killed because the residents need new blood.
The kids rescue their parents and they get out of the town as fast as they can.
The Goosebump books are anything seriously heavy, but they are enjoyable little reads. :p
