What is the point of this? Some kind of competition to comment on your journal? Makes me want to comment even less.........

No it is not a competition. It has never been meant to be a competition. It can only be a competition if the commentors make it one. I assume my friends here aren't here simply to see who can comment the most on my journal. I would like to think my friends here are more mature then that.
Several friends have posted their commentor's stats for some time, so I thought I would give it a shot.

It's no way a competition. It's just fun to see how much comment each friend made. And to me it's a way to see who never comments, while I do comment on their entries a lot.
My Lj-time is limited and I put a lot of time in my friends. But when the energy isn't mutual.. well.. they're out of my life at some point.
Friends don't need to comment much to be good friends but interaction is nice. it's the way to enjoy LJ.
It just happens that endlessblush, Jon and I are on a lot of mutual journals. And they all to the stats. And well.. every month it comes down that we 3 are the top. It's fun to see who won the crown that month.
But a competition? Not a chance. it's just fun and a lot of teasing. :o)
