I have really been hoping that I would get a phone call from work Friday night telling me that I could have the night off and then I could stay home and celebrate New Year's Eve.
Unfortunately, now I know that I will be staying home that night. But it will be a very sad day.
My uncle just passed away on Wednesday and his funeral will be on Friday. So I will be taking the night off so that I can attend that.
He was my mom's brother, and her last remaining family member from her immediate family. If you could keep a good thought for her I would appreciate it. Thank you.

So I will not be here Friday night. I will try to stop in Saturday night and hopefully read about everyone's exciting New Years parties.
