So I went up to St. Paul last night to see Trans Siberian Orchestra and what can I say?
WOW...
HOLY MACKERAL...
AMAZING...
LOUD and BRIGHT... LoL......

The concert/show was scheduled to start at 8 pm, but didn't get started until about 8:15.
A couple of the members came out to announce that a dollar from every ticket sold was going to a local charity. Sadly the picked the Salvation Army. :(
The check was for just over $18,000. Not sure if that was from both shows or just the evening one. I am guessing it was just the evening show.

The show, The Lost Christmas Eve, is kind of a combination of rock concert and theater performance.
The performers get all the credit, but I really think the person/s that create the light, fire, pyrotechnics show should be included.
I was in the 6th row center section on the floor, and yes, it was quite loud and bright. I heard the guy in front of me joke when he first came in that he forgot his sunglasses. Wouldn't been a terrible idea. LOL...
The show consists of the story of a man who loses the Christmas spirit after his wife dies while giving birth and the child is severely handicapped. He gives the child to the "state" and has nothing more to do with it.
Then after a series of events he gains the desire to see his son. He calls the institute and is told that he is no longer there, but has recently gained the ability to walk, although he can still not speak, and has been moved to a group home, but spends most of his time at the hospital next door. He goes to the hospital and is taken to the neonatal icu where he sees his son rocking the abandoned baby of a drug addict. His son looks up and immediately knows that it's his father. The father seeing the love of his son and the amazing person he has become picks up another baby and sits beside his son and they rock the babies together.
Maybe not a lot of reality in the details, but it is a very heart warming story.
After the "story" part of the show is done, they go into a short concert, playing very rocked versions of some Christmas music. Ending with the amazing combination of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/Carol of the Bells like the video I posted yesterday. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In total the show was about 2 1/2 hours of amazingness.
And after 2 1/2 hours of show, they came out and signed autographes for those that stayed and got in line.

If there was anything bad about the show, I would have to say some of the choreography was pretty cheesy. Especially the backup female singers. :p

To prove how amazing, loud, and bright it was, I didn't even notice the person across the aisle toss their cookies, until I happen to look that way and see somebody coming to clean it up. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw it in NY :) Dan saw it in NY twice. He said that seeing it once is great - seeing it twice is just a repeat of what you saw the first time.
