Perry’s rhetoric might be an exaggeration, though it’s certainly reminiscent of an ad he released in which he said: “You don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school. As president, I’ll end Obama’s war on religion.”

We poor down troddened Christians are so put upon in this country. Yeah, right.....

SERIOUSLY??? Give me a break Religious Right.
I am willing to bet the vast majority of those religous nutters celebrate more of the non religious Christmas(Santa Claus) more then then do the real religious/Christian meaning of Christmas.

can't openly celebrate Christmas?? HUH??

Prayer in school is OK if it's Sunday School. If it's a public elementery school, the kids should be focused on math, science, english...and not be worrying or getting all blue in the face if there wasn't an official, sanctioned time for prayer in class.

I like to use the arguement that you can pray all you want in school, you or the schools just can't organize it. :o
If you want that, go to a perocial school. Ugh.....
