It was pretty amazing how the MAGAs contorted themselves around the shooter. First he was a "Marxist Dem", then when it was revealed that he was a dyed in the wool MAGA, they got real quiet.
They live under a cloud of grievance and victimhood, but can't be bothered to try to improve their lot to get out from under it. Self-righteousness is their shield, and it's never a good thing to hide behind.

That is exactly what TACO is counting on: stoking racism and classism. The rich people aren't to blame, somehow: it's the educated middle class.
