A Day In The Life.......
Dec. 18th, 2021 07:19 pmGood News... Bad News...
The good news is we have our power back and we are back home.
The bad news, unless somebody can change my mind...
I think I am going to have to throw away pretty much everything in our fridge and freezers.
I did buy new milk and a couple of other things.
But when I looked in the upstairs fridge freezer, some things had obviously melted or started to thaw.
Friday I had looked at the thermometer in the upright freezer in the basement and I thought it was okay, but today when I took a closer look at the thermometer I think the temp was too high for frozen foods, and one of the containers had obviously started to melt because it's dripped out of the container.
The freezer on the old fridge in the basement I am not sure about. It had a bunch of frost built up in it for awhile, and that doesn't appear to have melted any. I took a chance and baked some breaded chicken filets that were in that freezer for supper tonight.
So I am really afraid I need to throw away pretty much everything that was in at least two of the freezers. :o :o :o
Unless you guys can convince me otherwise...
Can it get warm enough for ice cream to melt, but other things stay safe? I just have my doubts.
