A Day In The Life.......

I made an appointment for today to get my eyes examined at Visionworks for 6 pm.
I got there about 5:55 pm and there was a line of people waiting at the entrance of the store to get service. You are not allowed in the store until they grill you about your health and activities.
I finally got up to the front of the line around 6:10 pm and I was openly honest and say I had been around somebody that had been diagnosed with the virus because it's true. I work for a hospital on a unit that takes care of Covid patients. She made me wait and went back to check on something if she was going to allow me in the store. She finally came back and asked if I had been wearing protective devices. I told her I worked for the Mayo Clinic, yes I Was wearing appropriate attire. She took my temperature and had me go take a seat.
I sat there for another 10 minutes before she finally took me back to get started with the exam. She did a couple of things and then said,
I see you have cleared your throat. That is the fourth time you cleared your throat since I brought you back here. I am going to have to ask you to reschedule your appointment.
I told her I always have that phlegmy cough.
You can contact Blah Blah Blah....
I said, Or I can go some where else.
She said, I'm sorry.
I said, No you're not. And walked out.
If I had been thinking I should have said, Are you familiar with the drug Lisinopril? It's a blood pressure medicine that has an all to common side effect of giving the person a cough.

So now I guess I can go try and pass the eye "test" at my drivers license renewal, or find another place to get my eyes examined at.
