I has a sad now... :(

I just had Maggie out for her morning constitutional, and we came across a little dead bird. I assume that it must have frozen to death over night.
I am so sad now. :(
Damn weather. :(

A Day In The Life.......

So first let me apologize for being a little neglectful on my journaling, especially on dreamwidth.
I worked 12 hour shifts over the weekend, and then have spent the last couple of days trying to prep for my trip. At least that sounds like a good excuse.
Anyway, so here it is the night before I fly out for Hawaii.
I was getting ready to take Maggie in to Rochester to my friend thirteenrocks who is going to doggie sit her for me. I loaded her things in to my truck and guess what? It wouldn't start. UGH......
Have I mentioned it's just a wee bit cold here in Minnesota? I made the mistake of not running the vehicle since Tuesday morning, I think it was. So the battery was DEAD. Called AAA, and they were able to send somebody to jump it in less then an hour. I was surprised. He came and it took a while to get it running. Not sure how much it was because the battery was so dead, and how much his cables just weren't connecting well, but it finally started.
Well, because of this I kind of chickened out driving up to Minneapolis and parking in the ramp and riding the light rail train to the airport, so I booked a shuttle ride up to the airport from Rochester. My friend is being kind enough to drive me to the hotel at 3 am so I can catch the shuttle. I am sitting in his livingroom writing this. It's about 11:30 pm and I am going to try and powernap for a couple of hours.
Anyway, believe it or not, I am leaving my computer at home, so I will be MIA until some time Sunday when I get back home.
I hope you guys are all going to be fine. Stay safe if your weather is not being nice like ours is.
And try not to miss me too much. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
