I guess it's time to update where I am with my stupid shoulder...

This week I had therapy on Tuesday, a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, and another therapy appointment on Thursday.
Therapy was okay on Tuesday, but when I left, I stopped and filled up my gas tank. When I started up the vehicle my Service Battery System light came on. UGH... So I stopped at my mechanic's place and he did a quick look at it and said it's okay, but I just wouldn't have my Anti Lock Braking system. Made an appointment for Friday/yesterday.
Wednesday morning I went to my doctor's appointment. It was okay. The main purpose was to extend my work restrictions. He agreed to do that, and we also discussed doing an MRI on my shoulder and seeing an orthopedic PA. Apparently we don't want to bother the ortho doctors yet. Anyway, I took the new work restriction order back to the hospital to give to Occupational Medicine who takes care of such issues and went home. I barely had gotten home and OM called and said they needed some clarifications on the restrictions. Could I please call my doctor and give him permission to share information about my care. Umm, Okay... So I called the doctor's office and told them what was going on. I gave them OM phone number so they could call and see what information they needed specifically. I gave them some time to do that, and then I called OM back like they told me to do. Of course the person I talked to was busy, but the person I got eventually said things should be okay. I said do you need anything else from me because I was going to bed soon. No, that's all.
Wednesday evening I woke up had supper and then opened my work email to see if the new restrictions had gone through. Nope, instead I found a message from the doc's office saying that because the restrictions prescription was considered confidential they couldn't fax it to OM and I would have to pick it up and take it back to OM. SERIOUSLY???
So Thursday morning after work I went back to the doctor's office and picked up the new restrictions order and took it back to the hospital. The lady at the desk asked if I wanted her to take it back and run it past the nurse in charge of my case. I told her yes, because I wasn't going to do this again. UGH... She came back out after a minute and said every thing was okay. Gee, Thanks...
I drove home and got ready for my therapy session. That went okay. He gave me another one of those exercise rubber bands to do a new exercise. First time I tried it, I didn't have the strength in the shoulder to do the motion. So he had me adjust the motion and I was able to do it then. I left and felt okay. I went to bed and felt okay. I got up and showered and felt okay. Made supper and sat down to watch some tv before work, and it felt like my left arm was "falling asleep", that numb sensation. I moved around and it felt like maybe it was "waking up". However, the numbness stayed. It was right across the outside of the bend of my elbow. Weird... It was still numb when I got to work so I decided email my therapist and see if he had any thoughts about the numbness. Friday morning he responded and said it was possible that it might be referral pain from the rotator cuff. He told me to try and not sit hunched over/rolled shoulders. Easier said then done when you have lousy posture. Anyway, it's now Friday night, and I still have numbness over the outside of my elbow. UGH...
I give up. White Flag is flying. :( :( :(

My MRI is scheduled for Jan. 3rd and the Ortho PA is scheduled for Jan 4th.
I asked to wait until after the first of the year because of insurance. Heaven forbid, if I do need surgery between all of this I will definitely reach my deductible limit.
It's going to be a long two weeks waiting to see what that will show. Although my therapist said he would almost guarantee that there is a tear.
Oh yeah, to add to the frustration, when I was talking with my doctor, he almost sounded like he wasn't aware of every thing that was going on, so I asked him if got the fax that my therapist was sending him. No he hadn't. He told me that when people fax him he usually doesn't see them for a week or so. SERIOUSLY??? Why does a fax that is sent to a doctor left sitting some where and not delivered straight to him?????

Oh, one more thing, Friday we had a snow storm coming through, so I stopped at the mechanic and asked if it would be okay if I could bring my car in next Tuesday instead of having to come out in the weather yesterday. He said that would be fine. So now I go to therapy on Tuesday and then drop off my car at the mechanic. Ugh...
