Book Reading.......
Dec. 10th, 2016 09:49 pmI finished up book No. 52 this morning. :)
I read "Closed Casket" by Sophie Hannah.
It's a new Hercule Poirot book. Hercule is an Agatha Christie character that she was given permission to write a new book about. There is a bit of a controversy about the book in that Agatha Christie had killed off Poirot in her final book about his character.
It was a good read. It, of course, didn't quite have the "old" English feel that you get with the original Christie books, but it's close.
The murder victim, and there is only one in the present time of the book is a dying man. Now why would you kill a man who is dying? That part I kind of figured out before it was announced in the book. YAY me. lol... I did not however figure out the killer. I was leaning towards a Murder on the Orient Express kind of killing where it was multiple people how did the killing.
I must thank the very kind
mrdreamjeans who was so very sweet to send me this book. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With this read, I have averaged 1 a week for 2016.
