Book Reading......
Nov. 12th, 2012 03:22 amFINALLY finished up book No. 32.
It was just a little light reading. Something called Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. lol...
It was a good read, but I have to say, there were only two redeeming characters in the whole book and that was Ellen the housekeeper and Mr. Lockwood the man who was renting out one of the houses from Heathcliff and whom Ellen was telling the story too.
In the end some of the characters did redeem themselves to some extent, but over all I wouldn't want to be friends with any of them. They were all pretty self absorbed, bitter, hate filled people.
I had to laugh when recently TMC had the classic movie version on and the commercials kept saying how there were no bad people just bad something or other. And I kept thinking to myself, this book has a lot of bad people in it. LOL...........
Great book, but hard to like people.
Grade: A-
But it did bring back memories of a Pat Benatar song I LOVE...
