Does anyone want to place bets that they won't have the nerve to print it?
In a few short days Minnesotan have the chance to write bigotry and hatred into our State constitution.
The Radical Right/Teabaggers are willing to add bigotry to our State constitution because they fear for the "sanctity" of marriage from the "scurge" of the LGBT community.
Has anyone else, besides myself, noticed how well the Heterosexual community has been treating the "sanctity" of marriage? We are witness to marriage after marriage that are lucky to last a week. Meanwhile, you have LGBT couples who have been together for years who are denied simple human dignity because they had the nerve to love someone of the same sex or to be "different". On a lighter note, why should the LGBT community be denied the privilage of divorce court and alimony payments?
If the bigots and haters want to deny simple human dignity to the LGBT community, I would like to make a suggestion. They should also be denied the right to pay taxes for services that they are not being legally allowed to partake in.
Just a few short decades ago many parts of this country didn't allow interracial couples to get married. Bigots and haters lost that arguement. How many more decades does the LGBT community have to suffer the same indignities?
I truly hope that saner minds will prevail and Minnesota will buck the trend of adding bigotry and hatred into our State constitutions.
Please vote No on the anti marriage amendent on November 6th.
