Book Reading......
Dec. 24th, 2011 08:42 amI took a page from my dear friend Mr. Owl, and found my copy of A Christmas Carol, which I just finished reading now.
There were some interesting parts that you don't see in the movie versions.
The copy I have is quite interesting. It's almost like an encyclopedia of the book. It contains lots of side notes and pictures describing things from the story and from the time period.
Unfortunately, I was trying to find a link to show you the book and I see that it's an abridged version of the story. :o Now I shall have to find a copy of the full text and get the full story.
Book List 2011:
1. Guards Guards by Terry Pratchett
2. Kingdom Keepers III Disney in Shadows by Ridley Pearson
3. The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton
4. Twilight Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko

Dec. 24th, 2011 09:41 amI am sure you are all familiar with the practice of airbrushing pictures to make them look better?
What would the vocal version of that be?
I just saw a commercial for NutriSystems weight lose program, and I am assuming their new spokesperson, Janet Jackson.
That seriously can't be her normal speaking voice. It was rather deep and breathy.
Half her brother's sound like women, but Janet sounds like that? Little hard to believe...
