(no subject)

Today was a nice peaceful day of vacation. :)
I went over to Mary's place and we hung out there for awhile. I played with her kitty. :)
We went over to Ruby Tuesday for lunch. I have a pasta, shrimp, cheese salad. It was yummy. :)
Then we stopped at Kmart to pick up a couple of things I forgot to get last night because they weren't on my list. I know realize that I still forgot a thing or two that were actually on my list. LOL...........
The we stopped down to the river walk and the war memorial and I got a few pictures.
There was a little light rain while we were in the restaurant.
We then went back to Mary's place and just kind of hung out there waiting for her daughter to get home from school.
Her other daughter and her boyfriend came over for supper and we had bbqed burgers, hot dogs, and suasages. More yummy. :)
Then we just chatted away the evening.
Mary has a doctors appointment tomorrow, and I asked her when she would be done, and that I would have to entertain myself until then. She was like, You are still here tomorrow? lol.......... Yep.... She thought I was leaving in the morning. :p
So I will have to see what I can come up with tomorrow. Perhaps a run down to Pensacola Beach. One draw back, is the weather is suppose to be cooler and windy tomorrow. :o Where's the Florida Sunshine??????????
Oh and it was raining off and on through the evening including on my drive back to my hotel. :o

Thursday Nov. 10.

Mary had a doctor's appointment this morning, so I decided to head out on my own. I headed down towards Pensacola Beach on this cool and WINDY day.
On the way there I saw a billboard for the Gulf Breeze Zoo and was tempted to stop there, but I wasn't sure how long I had for Mary to be done with her appointment, and I wasn't sure how many animals were going to be out on such a cool day. :p So I continued on to the Beach.
I got there and it was WINDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shorts and tshirt just didn't see enough. So thankfully I had my jacket in the car still. It was still cold with the jacket, but tolerable. I kept telling myself, It has to be warmer than Minnesota. lol............
I saw a pelican dive bombing for breakfast. and a few gulls and other birds. I went out on the pier, and did I mention it was WINDY, and there were a handful of guys out at the end doing some fishing. And a few tourists checking things out. :p After coming back off the pier I went down onto the beach. Right near the edge and the walkway onto the beach there were a bunch of seagulls all standing there lined up facing into the wind. Kind of comical. I walked out onto the beach and I think I could have skipped my shower this morning because I was getting sand blasted by the sand being blowin' around by the wind. Kind of stung against my bare legs. lol... I walked down to the water's edge and there were a lot of jellyfish all along there. A few being washed out onto the sand, and if they were lucky they got washed back down into the water.
From there I drove down the road that goes along Pensacola Beach for awhile just to see what was down that way. Not too much so I headed back. Then I noticed this house that looked like a typical square house on the bottom, but then there was a round pod on the top. I had to turn around to get a picture of it. lol...
From there I headed up into Pensacola, and I was going to hit the Dairy Queen I knew was there and then drive along this one road that follows the bay and look at all the expensive houses there. Well, I got lost. LOL..... Finally I gave up and headed in one direction I knew would be a main road that would eventually get me back to the highway. :p There I heard this noise in my car and I though crap, what's that. Then I thought, Hmm, maybe it's my phone. lol... It was, and I just missed a call from Mary. So I called her back and she told me she was back home from her appointment. I told her as soon as I could find my way out of Pensacola I would be back. :p
We spent the day just hanging out at her place chatting and relaxing. :)
Sadly the time passed away and it was time for me to head back to the hotel so I could go to bed(yeah I am not there yet).
Why is it I feel so guilty when I leave friends like that when I am on vacation? :(:(:( Saturday night I will be feeling that way when I have to say goodbye to Angie down in Fort Myers. :o

So here I sit getting this written out when I should be in bed. :p I am starting on Blurty because LJ isn't working for me now. UGH............
