The average price of regular unleaded around here is $3.75. The average price of premium is usually 15 cents higher than that.

On the way home this morning I saw that the place I usually buy gas at(Fleet Farm) was still selling regular unleaded for $3.67. So I turned around to fill up my tank.
I pulled up to the pump and premium was $3.98. WTF?????????
I went into the station to see if there was a reason their premium was so high. The guy told me, "No. Somebody else had been in and asked that. It's just the market price."
EXCUSE ME???????????????????????????
If it was the market price your regular unleaded would have been $3.75 like everybody else. Talk about being full of shit.

So I drove across the highway to the Kwik Trip where regular unleaded was listed at $3.75 on their sign. I pulled up to the pump and their premium was $3.90. Which would make it the usual extra 15 cents "market" price. :o

I think I might write a letter to Fleet Farm's store manager and see if I can get ignored by yet another business in Rochester, Mn.
