Well, it has been a couple of weeks since I weighed in thanks to vacation last week.


Today's weight: 237 lbs.


Total Lost: 33.5 lbs.


Just 66.5 lbs to go. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oscar Rant.................

THE ACADEMY OF ARTS AND SCIENCE CAVE TO RELIGIOUS "RIGHT"

What other excuse can there be for "Brokeback Mountain" not winning the Academy Award for best picture? Ang Lee won for best director. Unfortunately, the movie he directed just wasn't that good, I guess. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE ELSE? Rarely do those two awards go to seperate movies. So we are to assume that it just happened to happen this year? Yeah right. Industry pundits are saying, well maybe it peaked to early? Please… The movie wins almost every award available, but it doesn't win the Oscar? That is a slap in the face.
Running scared from the Religious "Right", Hollywood caved to show they are not promoters of the "Gay Agenda". Give me a break, there are probably just as many homophobes in Hollywood then there are in the deep South. Sadly, half the homophobes in Hollywood are probably gay too.

I would love to see the Religious "Right" live without homosexuals. Heaven knows the entertainment world wouldn't exist without us. Who would dress their wives for all those political conventions? The fashion industry is full of us. Even Nancy knew that.

I think it is time for a little backlash of our own towards Hollywood. The Religious "Right" isn't the only group with a voice. I was never a big fan of groups like Act Up, but maybe it's time for a comeback from someone like that.



Beyond my disgust for the treatment of Brokeback Mountian, the Oscars this year were pretty boring. Jon Stewart was a big disappointment. WHERE ARE WHOOPI OR BILLY??? Intriguing thought… Billy and Whoopi hosting together? YES!!! Better yet, Billy, Whoopi, and Robin. What a night that would be. They wouldn't even have to have presenters. Just let those three do the whole show.
All the gushing over George Clooney was getting a little nauseating. He even looked a little uncomfortable when that one lady thanked the Academy for sitting her next to him during the nominee's banquet or something like that.
But I must thank George for standing up for Hollywood for "being out of step" with the rest of the country.


Okay that is kind of a lame rant, but I am just pulling this all out of the air while at work. I should have sat down and wrote it out at home. Let's just leave it at, I am PISSED.

March 7th is the first anniversary of the death of a dear friend, Jim Shafer.
It still is hard to believe that Jim is gone. Although we never met in person, he really was a good friend.
I miss you Jim, and I hope that you are finding true happiness in a better place.
