Sadly we are not having Thanksgiving meal until Saturday. :(

You know, I have always wondered the exact reason Thanksgiving (or as I call it, lovingly, "Don't Kill the In-Laws Day") was always on a Thursday. Was this when the Pilgrims and Indians had their meal? Or just easier for folks to have a four day weekend? Curious minds must know. Research time!

Still, enjoy the turkey!

I wouldn't doubt that! I really wouldn't. Those dumbshows will do anything to have a day off and do nothing. What confuses me, though, is they don't do anything as it is and are paid (quite well) for it. Why take the day off and not make money doing what you do as it were?

I think they are salaried. So they get paid whether they are there or not. :o

You might be right on that, but I don't know. All I know is those guys do nothing when they're in office and make a lot of cash to do it. How does that seem right? If you or I was to slack off that much we would be out the door so damn fast your head would spin like Linda Blair.

That pretty much sums it up.
Sadly every once in awhile you get a good one in there and they get the tainted image from all the rest. :(

Of course! You can't have one or two who actually want to do something and shift around the paradigm. That would make the other few hundred look bad. So, they do everything they can to paint them in a bad light. Basic politics, mate.

This is one reason I feel we should start holding our politicians to their campaign promises. You know, like if they say they will lower taxes. If they don't, burn 'em at the stake for heresy. Stuff like that.
