A Day In The Life.....

I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but...

Memorial Day is the traditional time, here in the State, that we put flowers on the grave sites of our departed relatives.
I have put pots of flowers on my parents grave site, both my grandparents grave sites, and my aunt and uncles grave site.
I went out last night to water the flowers.
There were a couple of fake flower arrangements on my aunt and uncles grave site. I assume from their kids. They have 4.
There was nothing else on my mom's parents grave site or my parents grave site besides the pots that I have put there.
3 kids in my family and 4 cousins and apparently they can't honor our grandparents or my parents.

And don't even get my started on the VFW who still have not honored my dad with a military flag holder and flag. :o

I can forgive my younger brother because he lives down in Georgia, but the rest of the family is around here. :o

I know the military flags can take a long time to get. I know with my dad, the mortuary put I the request, if I am remembering that right.

Oh, these are just the little flags that they post at the gravesites every year.
And this makes the second Summer that he should have had one.

That's sad. All my family graves are in other parts of the country. My dad and his dad are in Derbyshire, my grandfather (my mother's dad) is in London. My mother's only brother, uncle George is in an unknown grave in Greece after being executed by the SS. My maternal grandfather's son, my great uncle Alex, was killed (age 19) on the Somme in France. He is buried there but I have visited his grave twice since I found where he was buried and laid wreaths even though he died more than 100 years ago. Lest We Forget.
By the way sorry for not commenting for ages, or posting. I'm still suffering from a painful shoulder and elbow and not typing will help it heal quicker - I hope. I will suffer after this comment 😮

I should look into finding some small US flags and put it out myself instead of relying on the VFW, and then just make sure I take it down before they take it again. :)

I picked up a couple of US flags today.

Along with a Canadian and Ukraine flag to put in my front window along with my Pride flag. :)

I've been looking at some political car magnets on ebay.
Also need to see if I can find car magnets for the Pride, Canadian, and Ukraine flags. :)

We never put anything on our cars but a Canada sticker might be nice. Oh and yes PRIDE for sure!

I've done magnets before, but I won't do stickers.
Although now that I have a "new" car, I am a little leery of putting anything on it. LOL...

Only trouble I had with a magnet in the past was after being on for quite awhile, it started to stick to the vehicle. So not sure if was the magnet, the heat, the vehicle, all the above.
If I decide to put some on my new car I will have to take it off periodically and make sure I take them off when going through the car wash.
