City asks applicants for Internet passwords

HELENA, Mont. - Job applicants with the city of Bozeman are finding that their private Internet discussions and pictures may not be so private after all.

The city is asking job seekers for the user names and passwords to Internet social networking or Web groups to which they belong. The decision is sparking an outcry from those who say the policy goes way too far.

The issue has spawned hundreds of comments on Web forums and sharp criticism from legislators and the ACLU.

"I liken it to them saying they want to look at your love letters and your family photos," said Amy Cannata, with the American Civil Liberties Union of Montana. "I think this policy certainly crosses the privacy line."

I went to my appointment yesterday morning and sure enough I needed a root canal, although she said it didn't look too bad. At least it wasn't abcessed she said. :)
The way the xray showed the inner area of the tooth, she said there was the possibility that there might be more damage on the inside than what she could really tell, and therefore might have to just take the tooth. She told me to think about what I would want when I came back for the procedure. We once inside she seems to think it looked okay and that things will be alright. She just did the first part of the procedure and I go back in two weeks to finish it.
The procedure itself was nothing. It was like a prolonged cavity filling. I didn't feel a think. That is until I woke up last night and all the novacaine or whatever they used was gone. My tooth hurt like hell then. I am to take 800 mg of Ibuprofin every 6-8 hours for a couple of days and then kind of as needed. I took some when I got up and after about 6 hours it started to hurt again. Took some more at 7 hours and about and hour and a half later it is feeling better.
The only other pain, came with the bill. I didn't need to pay for the procedure yesterday, but I decided to go ahead and pay then so that the insurance people would hopefully get their act in gear sooner and get my money back to me. So annoying to have money in your insuance account, but still have to pay out of pocket first only to be reimbursed. STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, the pain of the bill, exam and procedure, came to $1147.50. OUCH.......
Now I can only hope that our insurance people do their jobs quickly and I can get reimbursed sooner than later and get my money back into my checking account.
It is so annoying to have "money" in your insurance account, but have to pay for everything out of pocket only to turn around and get reimbursed for it. We, the union, are trying to convince them to start using a debt like card. Although I am sure they will wait long enough so that they can claim it as their idea. UGH.........

I just found out last night I have a wedding to go to Saturday afternoon. I had it in my head that it was next weekend. Thank goodness I got that reminder from someone. :o
