I went to the movies again last night and saw another classic movie.
I saw "Some Like It Hot". It stars Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis.
It's the story of two musicians who witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, and go on the run from the mob by donning drag and joining an all girls band heading for Florida.
Marilyn's character, Sugar Kane, falls for Tony's alter ego, Shell Oil Jr. and Jack's drag character Daphne is chased by comedy actor, Joe E. Brown's character Osgood Fiedling III.
It is silly, innocent fun filmed in 1959. It was filmed in black and white because the guys' makeup wasn't working for color film. Personally I think because of the time period setting, 1920s gangsters, the black and white was a better choice.
Again, my description doesn't do this classic justice.

This acting combination reminds me of another Lemmon/Curtis movie that I wish would get shown in theaters again, The Great Race. It's a race around the world with squeeky clean good guy Tony, and evil rotten bad guy Jack.
